Whats this im reading about Civilian militia groups occupying cities, seems like in Mexico civilians have formed militia groups to fight drug dealer bands and they have occupied 2 cities.

How is that working, how does it look from the views of a local.

This is pretty interesting.

They don't last long.

Like anything else they start up with good intentions but the people actually controlling the militia tend to get power-crazed and then break off and attach themselves to whatever political movement of the month.

Could be hidden intentions, but we cant imagine how tough they must be having it to risk their lives against the cartels and the government too, i imagine that at some point it could happen with true intentions and work in unity. Hope for the best to them indeed.
