I know we got some fancy smancy web/coding people here, anyone want to make a little cash?

What I need is fairly simple. I got a folder (with a couple subfolders) full of PDF files for the RPG I'm running.
Wanting a page/scriptlet/whatever that would make thumbnails of the 1st page of PDF files, and clicking one will load it in the PDF.js applet, or anything else, that's just the one I found.

It doesn't have to be fancy looking, or anything. Just something easier and a bit prettier than just a webpage folder listing.

I can find snippets of different codes that do parts of what I need. but Im not webdev savvy enough to know how to put them together, or even if they can be.

This is what Im doing now:

And it works. but trying to get more of a virtual book listing, that clicking a PDF loads its in something other than readers web thing. It sucks for big PDF's. There is no index on the side for scrolling down the page thumbnails and such.

Because all the books are PDF files. Its all the books we are use while playing and all the players need to reference them.
And I used physical books for years and years, and I can remember them better by the cover, and whats in each from it. than just the name of it.

Its all these:

but I THINK i found a way to do it. program called a-pdf thumbnailer, does exactly what I need it to. Just have to do it manually, it wont auto update thumbnails of new files uploaded. But thats a minor issue.

here is the result:

Much better than just file listings..still not sure how to use pdf.js to open them.

Why not utilize tablets and use the ebookerPdf viewer off google play Smile

Everyone brings tablets to the session and can just swipe and read/peruse whats needed. All with covers for each pdf.

Actually I tried that,I REALLY like the way it made the books into actual simulated flip books. but the dozens of random 'recommended' links at the bottom of the book we didnt like too much.

I ended up with this:
http://alttabgamers.com/Users/Rifts/Rifts-Books/index.htm

And seems to work well for what i need. could be better, but its miles above the "raw directory listing" i was doing.
