So, the left Alt in my awesome UltraxX keyboard is slowly starting to malfunction and I'm beginning to look for something to replace the whole keyboard. I don't wanna spend too money on it so let's say the maximum price is 50$. Purposes: gaming+writing Smile GO!

Logitech Illuminated - great keyboard, using it too. But later revisions got problems with multiple keys combinations. If I remember right, Werelds here had such revision.

And here is the article on Logitech site

Quote:
Some key combinations, like W + Shift + Space, does not work on a Illuminated Keyboard

Like most of our keyboards, the Illuminated Keyboard uses a matrix to inform the computer of which keys are being pressed.

We developed a newer version of the key-combination matrix after the Illuminated Keyboard was released. The updated matrix is better optimized for desktop typing, but it doesn't support the "W + Shift + Space key" command.

This was a design choice to avoid possible conflicts with other key combinations. While this command works on the original keyboard, it won't work on newer versions of the product.

No, I have the early one, since I bought it practically right after release. I'm sure I don't have 20-key faceroll, but I don't need that. 5 keys at once works and that's about as many as I'll ever press. I can't even remember how long I've had it now.

I do remember us comparing the product number and ID and getting completely inconclusive results though Laughing

Edit: yep, here it is.

hehe, I've been stuck with the same problem for quite a while now and the most similar keyboard I've found - scissor mechanism + flat + US layout at the same time, was SIIGs premium keyboard, something like this http://www.amazon.com/SIIG-JK-US0412-S1-Wired-Keyboard/dp/B0039TQH4M/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1388171215&sr=8-7&keywords=siig+slim+keyboard
Prob is, ordering it to europe makes the costs immense for such a product thats why i gave up for now. I've also tried to give a mechanical one a go - cmstorm quickfire rapid with red switches precisely, and although the quality was close to supreme and i liked the keyboard, i just couldn't stand the height and the noise Wink I guess I'm too used to flat scissors after such a time :/

If it's about Illuminated, I wanted to get one but you can't simply order a US layout one in Poland, all you can get is the UK one (which I don't want) and FR one :/
