I really, really liked it. Very Happy Probably my favorite Spidey game right after Ultimate Spider-Man.

Or Spider-Man 2 if we count the console games.

Our Ace was waiting for a thread like this since forever. Love you my men <3 Laughing

I too surprisingly liked the first one despite the roughness and some repetitive mechanics. It wasn't perfect of course, but with more side-quests, a more living city and improved combat it's going to be interesting for sure. Beenox are cool in my book. Razz

That's nice, me gusta Very Happy It was about time really. Now you finally have to be careful when swinging since it actually requires some skills and timing. The 'webs-in-the-skies' one was really ugly to see and kinda on the durr side.

Quote:
- Game will be released just before the film
- Sequel to the first game
- Movie set up the first game
- Movies and games are now going their own way
- Some key moments from the second film will be adapted for the game
- What happened in the first game is not canon for the second film
- Light RPG elements
- Tweaked combat and web-slinging
- Different webbing types: typical impact webbing, regular vanilla webbing, cryo-webbing
- “Some people complained that the webs didn’t attach to the buildings and they’re going to do that now.”
- Web-sling with the right and left triggers to control
- More detailed Manhattan
- Spider-Man universe things will be in the game, like The Kingpin’s Fisk Tower
- More action in the open world this time around
- Controlling Peter Park will be more than just taking photos
- Sometimes take on the role of an investigative journalist
- Play as Spider-Man for most of the game

i agree it was the 2nd best spidey game after spiderman 2, but sadly it still wasnt close to that game.
one major problem was the swinging, while in spiderman 2 you had to attach yourself to buildings and build momentum, in tas1 the buildings didnt matter at all since you would attach yourself to the sky while swinging, hence you could go higher than any building in the game.

I completely forgot how excited I am for this... looks great! The actual graphics too! That actually seemed way more detailed than the first one. I'm really afraid for Beenox nowadays considering what Greedyvision did to High Moon. Sad

Yes, you should. Just beware of the performance problems, if they're still there. I played it pretty much at launch so I don't know in what state it is now.

Performance and stability issues are present even in the most up to date version.

The game looks bad (though it can look good at times), it can crash easily and the performance is far from ideal. Open world concept translates to boring swinging till you reach your destination (from what I've played) because the city is empty. The combat is not nearly as fun as in Batman.

On the other hand the story seems pretty good, I would say better than the film it is based on.

Overall I am pretty disappointed with the execution and I don't think I will finish this.

Next stop: Deadpool
