- Nintendo Transalator/Dictionary for DS
Quote: | According to the Gaming Age Forums, a Japanese newspaper (Sankei Shimbun) reports on a new development title by Nintendo: software which includes features such as a virtual dictionary and a touch-screen translator (English-Japanese, English-Chinese and Japanese-Chinese). According to the newspaper, various mini games and other features will be included as well.
President Iwata quotes, "Although it is practical as a dictionary, it has several functions". Iwata hopes to target this product next year for sale by junior and senior high school students. A possible US or European release weren't mentioned. |

- Nintendo's new MP3/MPEG4 player for GBA & DS
Quote: | The best part of MP3 playback is how much time you can get on a single battery charge. The hardware is sent into sleep mode automatically if you don't enter any control inputs for a 30 second period. While in a sleep mode state, the system still plays back MP3 files, and can do so for up to 15 hours, according to Nintendo. |

- Nintendo DS video compression
Quote: | More recently, Actimagine has upgraded its technology, allowing a 90 minute movie to be stored on a 32MB cartridge, producing impressive audio and video quality on Nintendo portable consoles. |

Rumors:
- Nintendo Officially going online with DS?:
Quote: | Although unconfirmed, we have recieved information that Nintendo have been hinting at a 'suprise' release with regards to the DS in around March 2005. It is no accident that this is when the PSP launches in US (and the DS launches in Europe).
Most people seem to be looking towards an online service from Nintendo and this is certainly the most likely option. Maybe Nintendo will provide a fully blown, free to use, online multiplayer system for all DS users to use. (even Europeans from launch?) This would certainly tempt people away from the PSP and into buying the, what is already a massive seller, DS.
If the online service surprise is what it turns out to be, then could we also see a March 2005 release for Animal Crossing? Nintendo have always related this game to all our their talks of an online service and as of yet the official release date is set at '2005'. It certainly doesn't rule out March.
I guess all we can do is to sit and wait.... and wait.... and wait some more...
Still, its very exciting. We'll bring you more as soon as we hear it!

http://www.touchds.com/modules.php?op=modl...=article&sid=69
*It seems the project has to do something with the Gamecube tunneling group http://www.warppipe.com/ in which the founder and project Manager, Chad Paulson, has hinted that we will soon see the warp pipe logo on back of DS games. There is also alot of hype revolving over a mysterious warp pipe project under the name of "Demasked": http://www.demasked.com/.
- Nintendo DS Rumble Pack feature? Add-on or built-in?
Quote: | A growing number of DS owners are reporting a screen asking if they want to activate a rumble feature. See details by reading more.
With certain flash carts, when setting the alarm, the Nintendo DS will ask you "Would you like the Rumble Feature to accompany the alarm?". |

stfu some of the best games were on there. Donkey kong 64, Mario party, Super smash bros, Super mario world, perfect dark, banjo kazooie(sp??) and dont even get me started on goldeneye. What i loved most about the N64 which is why i played it more than my ps1 even though i had a swap cartridge pretty early on.
