Hi,

Im looking at purchasing a new external USB hard drive to connect to my PS3.

I currently have two 1TB external hard drives which work without issue.

I am hoping to purchase a 3TB or 4TB drive and having Googled extensively I can find no definitive answers to whether it will work as a few people have mentioned the external USB hard drive size limit compatible with PS3 is 2TB.

I know the drive has to be formatted as FAT32 and I would need to use a third party app to format it.

Does anyone have a 3TB or 4TB hard drive working on the PS3 and if so what make/model is it?

limited to 2tb external and 1tb internal

Gah that sucks. And no way to split a 4TB drive to use a 2x 2TB partitions on PS3?

Yes you may, using Partition Magic or any actual Drive Partition software

...Wich i wonder...is there any Easy to use Drive Partition software from actuality?, because Partition Magic seems to like being an ASS on Windows 7 64bit and i don't wanna mess with it

I just use the default disk management win app in win7
type in search "disk partitions"

btw what are you doing with so much space?

Nah just use the PS3 to watch movies and not porn movies lol.
