Should i buy one of these new NAS (2520/4520) from Thecus or wait for the new models from synology?

http://www.thecus.com/product.php?PROD_ID=86

These new models from Thecus are the worlds first with a Intel® Atom™ SoC CE5315 Dual Core 1.2GHz processor

The 4520 is only 350,- atm at Ibood.

Basically it would replace a htpc & server & mediaplayer (as the NAS uses xbmc itself)

I don't have a lot of understanding about this, but I know a friend that uses an i3 as NAS. He used to have an Atom, but it was terribly slow. Might cost a bit more though Smile

nas are external HDD that can be use as your second hdd but the magic in them back in the old days before USb 3.0 was they where faster then USB2.0 , all goes though LAN DUH and they could act as a self sufficient server , FTP , seed box etc...
