quite possible that this is total bullshit, i dunno, but it wouldnt surprise me that WB and the wachowskis would be running back to their grand money-maker franchise again...
and since i dont expect anything more than mindless cgi and action, i say bring it on! - I always enjoy fun expensive popcorn films - especially if i expect them to be nothing more than that.
though i suspect that "3d" and "james cameron" in the same sentence is enough to make plenty of you feel sick... im cool with it... i think it could be fun, because after the first film, the matrix films established themselves as fun 'rides' anyway... so yeah... bring it on! cant wait to see how contrived the script is to bring neo back and start up the war again or give a reason for him to swoosh around in the matrix again. |

The first film was fantastic, the second and third were complete and utter shit.
If they do it, then it needs to be like the first film, but alas it wont be.

nah i disagree. the last 2 were fun, that had some fantastic action sequences. the only sections i would say that sucked, were the final smith battle, and the hallway fight.

well if keanu is back, then its the same neo.
personally id love to see a movie set with one of the previous 'ones', cept this time he wasnt some selfless pussy, but used his powers to be somewhat more selfish, using his power for personal gain... that could be cool.
but re: matrix 4/5... lets face it, the second they did matrix 2, the franchise was fucked... so who cares if they make a couple more FX heavy popcorn films? its not like it'd ruin the franchise any more than it already is.

well depends on how fruity you want the story to get.
if youre looking at it as a christian allegory where the dude is jesus and u wanna get all magical - christian style, then yeah ok.. i suppose they all could look the same, because they would all be the same 'person' being resurrected to the real world...
but if you want to look at it from a more rational position, i doubt identical looking humans are being born decades...centuries (?) apart, that happen to have the same abilities... would be way too fruity to work in this scenario.
so i guess it could go either way depending on how you were viewing the story.

I don't agree. I usually love impressive cgi scenes...but matrix 2 and 3 was way too much and the story was really shitty.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

I loved the third the most.  Smith was a fantastic classical tragic hero, and played to perfection by Weaving.

i thought neo was his chosen name...dont recall it being said that all the previous ones were called neo as well... |
