It made me a bit curious after seeing Waldo and Mad Maxx going ape shit over Jalapeno Cheetos.
I know our soda and some other stuff gets sold in other countries so I'm curious what stuff you guys buy. Chips, soda, wtf ever.
I know I sure as fuck spend a lot of time in the imported cheese section drooling and killing my wallet.

Real US Dr.Pepper, we've got a Swedish version but the American one is MUCH more sweet.
That's like one of my weak spots.
When it comes to food then I'd have to say TGI Friday but it's quite expensive so it's not that often we go there.

God I used to LOVE Dr. Pepper, then you guys killed any desire to ever drink it again when that BF3 promotion was going on and you all were paypalling me to get the caps lol, SOMEONE HAD TO DRINK IT ALL. I started giving the bottles away to random people who'd walk by my house lol!
I think at one point I had 30 something bottles in my room.
TGI Friday is over there? You're not missing much, here it's considered a shit place to eat, it's slowly been going under. No one really goes there anymore.
Also, Pepsi came out with their own version of Dr. Pepper called Doc 360, I actually like it ten times more than the Pepper.

Been REALLY happy when a few weeks ago I finally saw dr. Pepper on a major shop-chain's shelves. If I wanted to drink it, I would have had to look in obscure places that happen to have a few bottles, or buy them abroad.
My mom sometimes buys a few bags of marshmallows (not really authentic american, but it's most popular there), sometimes my brother gets barbecue sauce (more like barbecue-spice flavored ketchup). Other than those, the usual mass-marketed crap, tortilla chips, etc. Might ask my mom to make corn bread some day, I kinda miss that from my time in the US.
Apart from the usual fast food chains, we also had a Subway opened in our town a while back, no idea if it's still there or not. Loved to eat there back during my visit, their sandwiches were phenomenal. Not sure if they still are or if the quality managed to translate to here.

Yep. I went there two times in past six months and it was filled with them. There is nothing worse than those trashy 18yr old white girls.

Thanks but we do have stores that sell US Dr.Pepper here (tho they are double the price of a Swedish one). ^_^
I like to get them on occasions to celebrate since I'm not that much into alcohol or weed.

djeez, a real american attitude. Like it's 'we' eating 'your' stuff? Because McD sells burgers in Europe, that means we are eating American food, even when the burgers are sold here?
So then I guess we eat a lot of 'American' stuff. I do eat Doritos, Pringles, Corn Flakes, Mars, Snickers, Fanta, Coke, Dole fruit shizzle, etc. etc. Most of that American stuff is produced within a 50k radius, so not really that american. I am pretty sure anything that is produced from some grain and is available in the US is available in Europe. Chips, cookies, cereals, etc. Same goes for drinks like Coke, Gatorade, Aquarius, Minute Maid, etc is available anywhere in the world.
Btw, you guys drinking Nespresso? That's our European stuff. KitKat, Rolo, Smarties. Do you have any Lipton (Ice Tea/ regular tea etc) in the US? Been to California couple of times and haven't seen that in the shops. Maybe they sell it elsewhere?
It's kinda strange, in some way it's the same everywhere, but on the other hand it's all produced locally. For example, the Fanta in Belgium is more yellowish compared to the US version. US is so bright orange and so sugary. However, when I go to France or Switzerland it is different again, darker, bit different taste. So yeah, strange strange...

i doubt there is much actual "american" food here in europe. Expect maybe concentrated orange juice etc. Processed food is probably all forbidden here anyway (the american produced ones) rofl.
And yeah, Burgers are hardly "american". Neither are chips etc. (And we have some pretty good chips here. Zweifel, anyone ?)

I would kill for a Lipton Green Tea ( Not Tea Bags)
AND fucking Nestea. I still can't believe that brand is nonexistent in US.
And I would also LOVE TO GET MY HANDS ON nestea green tea strawberry. Greatest green tea ever created. Used to drink 1 or 2 bottles while I was on vacation in Poland. It is just that fucking godly.
Shame, shame it's not sold here :/

Meh, i don't like those chemical "enhanced" ice teas. The best ice tea we have here, sold in and from the biggest super market chain "migros" is also (among) the cheapest lol.
And here what's in it :
Quote: |
Aufguss aus Schwarztee und Hagebutten / Karkade-Blüten (Extraktgehalt: 1.2 gr pro Liter)., Zucker, Zitronensaft aus Konzentrat 2 % |
Quote: | Infusion of black tea and rose hips / karkade flowers (extract content: 1.2 g per liter)., Sugar, lemon juice from concentrate 2% |
And that's it.

You're the only one who took that out of context as an american attitude? We have plenty of european products here that I go out and buy in the international department at my grocery store, fucking murder me for being curious if it's like that over there to

Here in my small town the most American things that I can buy are Coke, Pringles and perhaps some chocolate. No Doritos, Dr Peppers and Mountain Dews as far as I know, but I'm not a big fan of those so there's no problem.
There are several McDonalds and Pizza Huts around though, but I avoid them like the plague

How does Pizza hut even stay in business out there? It's by far the worst fucking pizza even here in the states, next to Papa Johns and Dominos

Euhm wouldn't know what is American really... Skittles? Oreo's? Mcdonalds (rarely)
And then there is Fanta but it taste different. It's not even the same as in Holland/Belgium/England. I do like the Fanta better in Scandinavia.
But honestly I don't really take notice of where the products come from. I do know I usually go for Belgian choclate since most others are too bland and my girlfriend goes for Swedish/local products.

I think I'm going to required picture of that. I have googled for that every so often and I have yet to find an picture or a store that sells it in US.
@MORPHINEUS It's quite weird. For example, here in US. I hate taste of Coca-Cola (Too Sweet) but I love Pepsi meanwhile in Poland it's other way around. I refuse to drink Pepsi and prefer Coca-Cola. Pepsi is just too darn sweet for my taste.
Not sure what is the difference at all :\

Haha I know! that's why I never go there. But our medieval cities/towns are always invaded by tourists (especially in the summer) and they adore that stuff. Which doesn't make sense at all, since our traditional pizzas and restaurants are so much better, and even cheaper o.O

..I don't get it either. I'm American and only get that pizza when I absolutely NEED pizza but don't have much money on me. I'd rather drink Mcds grease through a straw.
