I was going to post that video of a Japanese girl riding a sex bike, but I thought it might have been a tacky Haha, congratulations Dingo! Great looking bike | I think you guys misunderstood m3th0d2008's post... because he's right.
You usually should get a much better seat than those thin pieces of crap that are included on most bikes.

Are you doing a lot of off road rides?

I was thinking of replacing the saddle, it's kinda hard... the saddle

Congrats Dingo! Looks nice. I too got a "new" bike ~3 weeks ago, a cheap Esperia Oregon that I've barely had the time to test both because of the bad weather and me being lazy xD
It probably sucks in terms of quality, but should be enough for me and my low standards. I went with the default saddle and already regret that decision

Congrats for the new bike. Always good to have a nice ride.
Mine got stolen last winter. I only have a video footage of those faggots who took it.

Haha that's "cheap" mate for a bike. Take a look at the higher range models:
URL: http://www.wheelbase.co.uk/bikes/mountain/all-mountain/2013-trek-remedy-99/
Price: £6,250.00 / 7,346.28 EUR
URL: http://www.wheelbase.co.uk/bikes/mountain/all-mountain/2013-trek-slash-9/
Price £4,750.00 / 5,583.07 EUR
The new model of mine this year (below):
http://www.wheelbase.co.uk/bikes/mountain/mens/2013-trek-fuel-ex-6/
Price: £1,650.00 / 1,939.20 EUR
But yes, you can pay daft amounts for a new bike. It's all depending on what you want to get out of it. Myself, I want off road down hill fun and mine is more than capable of doing this but if I'd spend nearly 8 grand on a bike, I'd be sacred to take it out in case I damaged it :-/
To the original poster:
If you want a *really* good night light I'd recommend the following.
http://www.bikelightsuk.com/front_bike_lights/magicshine_mj880_light_unit_only_2000_lumens_P583.html
When I say this thing is bright, it's an understatement !! People some 200+ meters away get out of the way as they think a car is behind them and once I finally pass there is always a comment on how bright it is. I laugh. Had some fun times on it at night in the Lake District. You can go mountain biking in the pitch black and still see EVERYTHING in front of you. There are brighter lights available but it all depends on how deep your pockets are. Battery lasts a good while but I have a spare one in case it runs out on longer rides.

It's not the bikes themselves or the name that's expensive, it's the material they use. They use a high grade carbon. The higher end models you can carry around with a couple fingers but are still strong as fuck.

My bike cost like 350euro, it's got a lot of mileage by know.

Ya the higher end Treks are for people who do long as fuck marathons. A LOT of people here in Madison are huge bikers and I assume, the lighter the bike, the less effort it takes to keep the bike moving? I dunno a whole lot about it.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8191189/Expensive-light-bicycles-do-not-get-you-to-work-faster-doctor.html
This guy did an interesting test and his answer is no, maybe the expensive lighter bikes are a marketing gimmick
Dr Jeremy Groves, an anaesthetist in Chesterfield, cycles to work most days and owns two bikes.
One is a second-hand steel framed bike that cost him £50 and weighs 29.5lbs or13.5kgs and the other is a new carbon framed bike costing £1,000, weighing only 20.9lbs or 9.5kgs.
Dr Groves bought the new bike thinking it would mean he could get to work faster but in a randomised trial he conducted over six months he found this was not the case.
He wrote in the BMJ: "My new bike seemed wonderful, if somewhat uncomfortable. I didn’t notice a dramatic decrease in commuting time, nor did the cycle computer I had fitted to my new bicycle to record any notably swift journeys. But, one sunny morning, I got to work in 43 minutes, the fastest I could recall. My steel bike was consigned to a corner of the garage to gather dust—until I had a puncture.
"The next day I was back on my old steel bike. I fitted the cycle computer, set off . . . and discovered I had got to work in 44 minutes. “Hang on,” I thought, “was that minute worth £950 or was it a fluke?”
"Which do I enjoy riding most? Well, after the trial I have to go for the steel bike. I get there as quickly, and it is more comfortable, better value, and has more 'character.'
"If the carbon bike were stolen would I replace it? I’d have to say no. I’d spend the money on high visibility low drag clothing and better lights."
He concluded: "A 30 per cent reduction in bicycle weight did not reduce commuting time over a distance of 27 miles (43.5km).
"A new lightweight bicycle may have many attractions, but if the bicycle is used to commute, a reduction in the weight of the cyclist rather than that of the bicycle may deliver greater benefit and at reduced cost."

Maybe for not a commuter. I could see some people around here where a road runs across a highway and they have stairs to go up and down to use the bridge thing. Carrying a bike that weighs almost nothing is a good investment for them.
But as I also said, it's not just light, theyr'e strong as fuck, and there are little engineering perks to it.
