Sabina has to let me know 2 secrets:
How the fuck do you quit smoking?
How the fuck do you get so excited about all kinds of video games?

Willpower and pain.. lots of pain. I just "stopped" cold turkey and it was fucking hell, honestly, for the first week it felt like somebody had taken it n turns kicking me almost to death, then healing me over night and doing the same thing again the next day. On the fifth, or sixth, day I actually said "Fuck this. I'm done" and bought a back of 20 --- but I didn't open then. Just having the box seemed to help. Now, nearly(?) three years later (!!!!! shit....), I'm a non-smoker. I wish I hadn't quit though, I've certainly seen no improvement to my health and since I smoked rolling tobacco, there's no real improvement in financials either, only now I don't have the kind of stress release I once had - and my appetite came back and I've ballooned 20kg. Go figure. Yeah, it's safe to say I miss smoking
Games? My mum My mother was always a gamer, she bought herself a C64 and Sinclair Spectrum when they first came out and I grew up on those, playing videogames since I was 2 \o/ She was the one that taught me how to copy games from reel-to-reel and I was raised a gamer Though unlike this generation, I was still an outdoors kid too - we didn't come back from school and then jump on MSN to talk >_> I think my time was pretty evenly split between gaming and being out doing kid shit.

I think the smoking thing is different for everyone.
I do however believe that you need to really want to quit (for whatever reasons) deep down, any doubt in your own mind and you will fail.
I smoked heavily for 20 years (more than half my life!) and I just decided one day I was fed up with the cost and being treated as a social pariah for doing something that was totally legal, so I quit.
I just quit and never had any problems with cravings or any of that stuff (I even had a smoker in the house, the wife) I even have the occasional cigar on occasions (had one on Boxing day and a lovely large Cuban on my birthday, with no problems.
The wife quit 6 months later and used the patches and inhaler things and had cravings up until about 3 months ago (so a year give or take since she quit)
So its different for everyone, but at the end of the day if you have any doubt then it wont work (my opinion anyway)
I miss smoking too , I miss the smell of a freshly lit cig, I miss that taste. I wont start again though because I sure as shit dont miss that lingering smell that sticks to just about everything.

I doubted If I'm being completely honest, I didn't want to quit, I never did

This! Whenever I walk past someone that is smoking it's like "ahhhhh " haha. What I miss most of all is the walking, my absolute favourite cig was a walking cig.
umm... sorry, this really isn't helping you, is it FM? Just fight, matey! I say it was "willpower" for me, but it wasn't, it was just pure Sabin rage and anger Surprisingly that keeps me going through a lot of things \o/
