Quote:
The story takes place in an authoritarian future dystopia, where omnipresent public sensors (the Sybil System) continuously scan the Psycho-Pass of every citizen in range. The sensors measure mental state, personality, and the probability that the citizen will commit crimes, alerting authorities when someone exceeds accepted norms
A new top of the class recruit, Akane Tsunemori, joins the police force; however, she always puts her own sense of justice above the judgment of Sybil. Police are helped by Enforcers (latent criminals disposed to high criminal intent), one of which is a former inspector who supports Akane's method of action...

It's pretty good, though some stuff is rather silly. Guns especially - a weapon that puts its user at a disadvantage, since he can't decide who he wants to shoot and often, when he actually CAN use the gun, he can't initiate combat faster than his enemy, because he has to wait for the gun to verify the target and specify the "mode" of operation. While getting shot at all the time Very Happy Some technology indeed Laughing

Aside from such details, though, it's a well realized cyberpunk world in the vein of "Minority Report" (albeit designed with more details) with an enjoyable story told in it. At least season 1 was - haven't seen these first episodes of season 2 yet.
