C (299,792 km/s)
A visually stunning, compelling sci-fi short film about interstellar colonization, meticulously shot with retro filmmaking techniques.
How it’s Made:
"No CGI. No Green Screen. Just Talent, Imagination And Craftsmanship."
"Van Gorder['s] film looks better on screen than virtually any CGI based big budget Hollywood science fiction spectacular of recent years. It'll age better, too.”
- Todd Brown (TwitchFilm.com)
Our vision is to create a dynamic science-fiction film using classic, in-camera special effects. After extensive camera and lighting tests with actors and miniatures, we have created a unique look for our film. By combining the extreme low-light capabilities that new digital cameras provide with more traditional in-camera effects, we’ve achieved a never-before-seen low-key controlled lighting atmosphere. Working with optical effects like these require long hours and a lot of patience, but we believe that this process produces a film with more atmosphere, greater believability, and a sense of timelessness.

They make it sound like some big ass film undertaking..
But a good thought prompter about what we probably could do if those that bothered would do.
