I had similar shit when I bought my I7-3770. The motherboard needed an update before the cpu would be detected.

Edit: And thats when what I got from buying the cpu with the suggested motherboard.

Actually, it can also be done from an USB flash drive (using HP USB Formatter and DOS boot files, all easily obtainable), but he seems to be noob.

That is exactly as much work. I can put the iso on a flash drive. The fact that you need to mount ridicilous shit and reboot, enter bios yadda yadda..fucking 2 different manuals come with the update Laughing

You also seem to miss the point of the thread Smile

Embarassed leave now.

Hey! I'm poor and cannot afford one Sad

Plus seeing how for the price of 32GB SSD I can buy a 500GB regular HD, I never saw the point to it...

The huge speed increase when booting your PC or opening an app makes an SSD worth getting. I boot my PC and then after just 15 seconds (excluding the time my PC takes at POST) I can open photoshop and it will open pretty much instantly. Try that running from a HDD and you will be waiting for 5 minutes.

Oi got one since it's not that expensive and have way too may data drives anyway so the extra speed for my system disk was reason enough to get one. (even if I could live with slower speed)

Gotta waste some money when you build a new pc ey xD

How many times a day do you have to boot your computer?

I agree with the boot time, but for the rest wait till you own a SSD Smile

i agree, it's fast, but for that kind of money i can wait half a minute longer loading times in games, photoshop etc. Prices are expected to go down next year so maybe then i will buy one, but i'm not really sucker for speed, my spinpoint f3 1tb is doing fine with max 146.8 MB\s and min 103 MB\s. It could be better speeds but no way i'm giving 100 -250 euros.

And yet, every single person I know that has an SSD or seen one in action (and subsequently got one) has vowed never to go back to mechanical drives. Clearly it *is* worth the money. The mistake some of you are making is that you're looking at it from a storage point of view. That is the least important factor of an SSD.

well i'm not every single person, and the first important factor is price, i saw samsung 840 in action, low gb storage, lightning fast, but 120 euros for waiting few minutes? no thx. Add another 120 euros and get gtx660, in my book that's more important type of speed.

Edit: And i surely don't like that speed of ssd degrades after some period of using.

SSDs are way cheaper for businesses at least, even tho they cost a little more there are NO hardware failures, at lest not yet. Iv heard they could all fail after some years. But I work at a school so we wouldn't go for a spinning disc (the students threat their laptops like crap).

So from 50 failed HDDs a year till 0....
