What are you doing when you can't hear from the middel channel. Playing a game, watching dvd, listening to dvd audio? You need to check that all parts are set to 5.1; the audio settings in windows, the creative sb live software mixer, and the application.
6.1 is a 5.1 system with a middle channel in the back. It's still kind of a 5 channel system. Also, every plug supports 2 channels and a 5.1 system does not utilize the whole center channel plug (just one ring connector).

You need to enable some kind of "virtual surround" feature in the creative settings panel. Sometimes there are plugins for example Winamp that can emulate surround from Stereo.

I've got Logitech's X-530. The middle speaker works ALLWAYS and it shoudl work for you as well.
1. Check cables
2. Chek that the selection for 5.1 in XP control panel is on (sometimes when installing new drivers for your sound card the XP speaker settings get reset)
3. If necessary roll back drivers
4. If you still get no sound from the middle speaker then there's something wrong with it, send it back. Or ofcourse your SB is damaged

Well I plugged everything on my MB (K8V-SE) and it works now, my center channel works but only when the volume is very high (while playing mp3) , is there anyway to arrange that ? Other then that it's perfect, for games and dvds.

1. Uninstall your drivers.
2. Install these: http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1
They're quite more configurable, and better programmed than the Creative shit. These are great for regular SB!Live, and you can do a lot more with them.
Yes, yes I'm back.
