I know what a .sit file is, the issue is trying to extract the damn things in windows without paying for the software! Does anyone know of a opensource or free alternative to the expensive comercial software! I can't belive people have been creating content on macs for my company.. its amazing what happens in the world these days Thanks all sYn

LOL, i had this problem at work too. Two co-workers use apple too, and they sent me files in*.sit format, but i refused to open that shit and just sent them back and told them to use zip, rar or tar or any other commen formats i can use on my windows, solaris or bsd machines without installing some special apps. Anyhow, i remember there is stuffit for windows wich is shareware, and the stuffit expander is freeware: http://www.stuffit.com/win/index.html but you can try your luck with some VERY old dos command tools unsit etc. (scroll down a bit): http://www.bookcase.com/library/software/msdos.util.convert.html
