In the shadows of a rusted Pennsylvania steel town, the mangled body of a teenage girl is discovered. As they hunt for a monster among them, rumors mount and many of the eccentric residents become suspects, from the newly arrived gypsy family to the wealthy Godfrey clan. In the twisted world of Hemlock Grove, everyone hides a dark secret. From director Eli Roth (“Hostel”) comes a chilling supernatural series based on Brian McGreevy’s novel.
Watched a couple of episodes. It's certainly not another House of Cards but some intriguing elements like the 'little' sister.
Spoiler:
Sigh, fuck you Meyer bitch cunt twilight fag. Suddenly Upir(daywalking vampires) and werewolves that are just fucking wolves have become the norm.
And yes Bill Skarsgård is son of Stellan Skarsgård. So far not seeing the charisma his other son and himself carry over to the screen. Apparently he was in Arn, which I havent gotten around to yet, was he any good in that? Played Erik.
Netflix are on a roll, aren't they. Don't like the subject matter, but the CGI in this trailer alone was more impressive than the entire first episode of Durrfiance, as well as the acting.

They should make a science fiction show.
cgi ? i only see light trick and puppetry no computer generated images here
Near the end there is a CGI transformation of a man to wolf no? The mouth.
puppets and makeup , but in day and age even makeup is cgi
The transformation in the show definitely has some CGI. Its pretty well made except for the fact that its another show where a werewolf isnt a werewolf.

Well this show is miles better than any shitty network procedural. I feel like the pretty heavy apple product placement in House of Cards feels even worse here cause the setting is much more 'rural' for lack of a better word. Even the very very very few phones that arent iPhones for some mysterious reason still have the apple text sound
I will say that there are several strong female characters and there isnt as much damsel in distress shit as you couldve feared when the show centers on teenage girls getting killed
Spoiler:
and literally having their vaginas eaten..the symbolism is palpable
I agree, the show was not really good at all, but still i kept watching. Actors were often bad, characters were boring and socially awkward. I guess i just wanted to see where the show was heading.
