David Fincher and Kevin Spacey? I might have to subscribe to Netflix.
Just watched first episode and I can wholeheartedly recommend doing so and not just downloading it. Very good show and I'm giving Netflix some dough for making it!

If they only allowed non-American people. Their loss.

Im not american? but sure if netflix isnt available in your country its a given to go download that shit
what are the netflix rips like though? as they're streamed only rather than downloaded can they get decent quality of them?
Netflix HD streams in general are decent, nothing spectacular. Some select locations in US at least have better bitrates, but who knows whether anyone with access to those will bother to rip them.
the first 3 episodes are on usenet in x264....was disappointed when i saw the sizes and the fact they're at 480p, but bearing that in mind the quality is tip top. look forward to giving the show a whirl later on today.
watched 11 episodes already
great show
netflix is getting serious
i really hope they keep this up, and i'll be happy to pay for tv for the first time in my life
finished watching this series yesterday. enjoyed it, clearly a 2nd series needed for the overall story arc but as i understand this has already been commissioned i very much look forward to it!
couple of slow episodes in the middle. nearly (but not quite) as good as the uk original imo and thats high praise indeed.
really amazing series, grabs you from the start and doesnt let go, cant wait for season 2.
spacey´s portrayal of frank underwood is one of my favourite characters in tv history now
I've been watching this for the last 2 weeks, I was loving it up till episode 8 included, then I watched 9 and 10 and thought, wtf? Why is this suddenly turning into a soap opera? at many times I found myself in "pain" and facepalming. Also I realized how much I hated the Peter Russo character, he seemed too weak and stupid to be plausible, especially for an aspirant to being Governor. Of course, I know there's actually people like that in real life, but it just added a lot to how annoying the show was becoming.
And then... episode 11 happened I just finished watching it, and I think the events were exactly what it needed to pick my interest again. Also, it kinda explains the melodrama seen in the previous 2 episodes, as some sort of setup for what was coming. Now I'm looking forward to those last 2 episodes in the season. Hopefully they'll be great like the first half of the season
Btw, so far my favourite character is Claire Underwood, and oh boy Kevin Spacey is a monster actor but Robin Wright just steals the show in that department.
atlest one plot from the British series was changed, main hero dies shot by assassin and his wife falls in love with the bodyguard ... in the US version the bodyguard has cancer and dies but still ... i love they new sub plots that kinda explain why she will kill him ....
