Communism, on a small scale, works beautifully.

For example:
A woman and a man get married (or not) and have three children. While the children grow up, the man and the woman provide for their care by working their jobs. The good of the many from the work of a few. It might not be what Marx intended, but it's still, technically, Communism.

the Place I do live can be considered a "communist" place,so I do agree communism can work at some degree but not on large population. so I do not considering myself as one at all.

It only works when you have people that won't get greedy and fuck other people out of their share. This usually only happens when there is unconditional love involved.

I've heard from a few people who have lived in a previously communistic country who said that the communist period was much better than it is today. Everyone had work and everyone had food on their tables and a good life as long as they didn't talk bad about their leader Laughing I'm sure this was far from the case everywhere.

Speaking as a citizen of an Ex-Yu country (which didn't have the totally crazy communism) it's mostly due to nostalgia.

good example for that, west germany borrowed east germany 1 billion DM (thats like 2 billion usd ~) and that was enough for them to go another 8-9 years.

today, capitalist countries use 10-50 times that ... in 1 YEAR
