Blah. Got this card off of ebay - runs great, essentially new (no dust anywhere). Problem is the stupid heatsink shroud has loosened slightly and is starting to rattle against the heatsink. Not that bothered from a technical point-of-view, since it shouldn't break anything, but it's a damn annoying noise considering the cooling solution they've fitted is shockingly cool and quiet. Got any advice to fix it?
 Spoiler:

The loose section is on the far left, right next to the mounting bracket. Tried wedging an old credit card in there, but didn't fancy its chances of staying there, so removed it.

Also, very annoyed that it's only started happened in the past 6 hours or so. Left my PC on all night and only noticed it about 8am. Sad

Mmmm... Haven't tried string yet. Was hoping for a more elegant solution. Razz Will it be okay if I just tie the string round the end of the card and knot it off, to keep it held tightly together? It's not going to catch fire or anything is it? Laughing

Can't you just push a little bit of plastic between the casing and the card to stop the rattling?

Yeah, I can... I just don't want the stress of worrying if it comes loose. Random bits of plastic floating about my PC case do not make me a happy bunny. The string is a better solution long-term, as long as it doesn't singe or set-fire. Very Happy Plus, like I say, I was hoping for a more elegant solution, rather than some bodge-job.
