Firefox gives me this
Quote:
This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.google.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Is this some temporary screwup with their security credentials or is it on my end ?

Tried changing it to http but I get redirected to https

Does it happen with other google domains (.com and such)?

Try http://www.google.com/ncr and it won't do the location-based redirecting.

Still happens with firefox, not with IE though. IE goes to http.

If I go to https://www.google.com/ with IE I still get the certification warning.

I mean, I know I can add an exception, but why the hell did this start happening. Is the https connection working for you ?

EDIT: Hmm... it's because I'm logged in through FF, but not through IE.

EDIT: Yeah, deleted my google cookies and now I'm logged out so it doesn't use a secure connection. But WHY THE FUCK doesn't their certificate work ?

Yup it defaults to the secure https and no problems whatsoever. Using FF 16.0.2.

I fixed it by sersvr32 wintrust.dll and another dll and manually running an update for root certificates, sacrificing a gay goat and some other stuff I don't even remember.

Well, that was a shitty waste of my time, thanks Microsoft.

What OS are you running, root certs really shouldn't be an issue unless you're still running Windows SP0/1 :\

win7 x64

Don't know what happened, registered two dlls and manually updated the certs by running an update I found online (from MS's site)

So it is solved now Cool
