So, now that both yarr versions of these games are out I decided to run this little poll about which game the Hump prefers:

The first two options are for those that played both of them.

The last two are for those that didn't played both, but still wanna chip in about which game (or series if you didn't played these last two at all) they prefer. Please only answer in these if you haven't played both games.

With this said: Football Manager 2013 or FIFA Manager 13?

I have tried Football Manager 2012 but I don't know for reason I could not get into it more in-depth...

I have always played Fifa Manager, even before when it was called Total Club Manager and stayed with it. I like Fifa manager and probably will keep buying future version of it.

For me it's a tough choice. Both have their appeals. So i usually alternate. Sometime i play Football Manager, and some other time i play FIFA Manager.

the 3d match engine and overall transfer market in Fifa Manager 13 are horrible when compared to FM 2013, especialy the match engine, apart from the financial and infrastructure management, Fifa is a vastly inferior game.

fifa manager is fine if you want to have a fun game that doesn't go too much in depth in the managing part, but also has side 'games' like keeping your wife happy Wink
so more for the casual player imo

if you want the best/most accurate management game: Football Manager is the way to go Smile

It's a valid question. It's not about which you think is better, but about which you like more. Once in a while, I always see someone saying how they like FIFA Manager more than Football Manager for this or that reason, so I did this poll to try to see how many do.

So tell me, how is this a stupid question?

And it has been asked again. A question isn't stupid just because it as been asked a thousand times. The circumstance change over time, opinions too, plus this one question also encompasses the series. Smile

It is.

Ones an arcade game, the other is a 'hardcore' simulation.

And so what? They're both football games, where you manage a team. And all I'm asking is which one people prefer. Simple as that.

Maybe, just maybe, people prefer arcade over simulation. Is there anything wrong with that? Or with knowing how many do?

I was just pointing out that it is a fair comparison.

One is a simulation, one is an arcade game.

Maybe I misunderstood your meaning with the Rolling Eyes

Personally I can not see why anyone would rather have FIFA Manager over Football Manager, but to each their own.

Yeah, I guess I could have used a better emoticon. Anyway, I think the subject has been discussed. Smile

Anyway, my personal take on it is: Football Manager without a doubt, but there are a few features that I really wouldn't mind seeing brought over from FIFA Manager.

The last Fifa Manager that I tried was the 2010 version, it wasn't that bad, just simpler and more streamlined if compared to Football Manager, which is the real deal, imo. Smile

Football Manager 2013 vs FIFA Manager 13: Which Should You Buy?

Quote:
Here’s the crux – if you like football like your life depended on it, go with Football Manager 2013. It’s incredibly detailed, wonderfully designed and epic in scale. If you want to try something new or lean towards the casual presentation/tone, give EA’s FIFA Manager 13 a go.

Neither game is perfect and both have their own strengths and weaknesses, but hopefully the above overview gives you enough insight to make an informed decision.
