So I came home, turned the screen on, nothing happened (the pc was on when I left, so it was supposed to be sleeping or with the screensaver on). Tried ctrl+alt+del, etc, nothing. Pressed the reset button, but then I noticed the power led was off... the fans run, the mb leds are on (not sure about what they mean, just a bunch of red leds) but nothing else happens. It reboots when I press the button (I can hear the fans stopping and starting again) and the power led blinks but then stays off and that's it.

Tried without the cpu, without memory sticks, nothing makes any difference, won't post and won't even beep...

The mb is a X58a biostar... is it dead? Sad

From your description it sure sounds like mb-failure.
