So Brian Klug from Anandtech shot a video with the two side by side, doing a short turn-by-turn nav test.
Not bad from Apple, but they still have work to do. It's pretty darn slow; it's a little behind (obviously no speed adjustment whatsoever) and because of that recalculation is slow as well.
