Register your free account, download the client and hop in. I'm on a server called Siochain. I only played a day so my knowledge on this game is very limited but it feels exactly like WoW. With many good features taken from other MMO's too. It's still a beta so expect some translation mistakes etc. Nothing game breaking thou, it's very smooth game experience, no lag whatsoever. There are shit loads of quests, crafting, housing, dual classes. Interface is really the best I saw in any MMO.

It sure looks like crap though; it's not innovative at all, based on the same fantasy elements and stereo types like all the other average mmo's. The korean look doesn't help it to distinguish itself from the masses either, nor does it leave a good lasting impression for a typical western audience.

Servers are filled with "westerners" and everyone seems to be very happy with the game. It doesn't look like Crysis because it was made to run on a wide range of systems. It doesn't have "korean" MMO look, it has WoW look. Did you even play the game? Because your post sounds like was made from checking 2 screenshots and that you are clueless about what this game really is.

It really does seem to look like WoW. Though I don't really care how it looks rather its quality of gameplay. Are there any interesting aspects of the game worth mentioning?

No I didn't play it, because it seems too generic to me, as expressed in my post.
Theres nothing about it that makes it stand out in the crowd. Same archetypes as every other fantasy mmo, same run of the mill fantasy, shallow generic lore.
I did not actually run a market research, I just looked at what typical products like this have as appealing factors to a typical 'mature' 17-25, 25-30 audience and theres nothing as far as I can see, besides this being free, that will make it last.
The interface looks like a carbon copy from the standard WoW interface, even the fonts have the same color, the same placement of maps and icons with the same shape of the buttons, if I remember correctly.
This atleast looks like the developer here is trying something new for the mmo genre, eventhough that looks like crap to me as well 
I'd recommend you check out one of the old games instead like Ultima Online and it's many good and free servers which also have a good roleplaying community.
There you can have a multitude of furniture for your house, not to mention you can design it entirely as you want - you can even build your own castle. None of which is instanced but will remain in the same world as everything else. Do a google search for UO Second Age |

Yes I get it, you think this game is crap. But why do you keep repeatedly posting that in this thread? Your posts obviously have no value whatsoever to someone who might be interested in the game as they are just some random thoughts and assumptions of what the game is like.

You can discern a lot about a game through gameplay videos and it's supposed feature list, you can definitely see if it's something that appeals to you.
I'm writing why it doesn't appeal to me and why, also I showed what actually appeals to me through suggestions.
I'm sorry I don't like your game, others will probably agree with my views - eventhough I've not spent days playing it.
If you only want to hear how fantastic this game is, you should go to the games official forums, I'm sure they properly represent what the game really is like, and I'm entirely wrong.

I don't know where you got the idea that I don't want to see criticism here. I DO. But what you are doing is not it.

It is an opinion everybody is entitled to their own opinion, this is an internet forum where views and opinions are discussed.
Do you claim never to have an opinion about anything without having experienced it first hand?, do you also claim that previous experience amounts to nothing when formulating opinions?
Do you not judge based on your previous experience and information both visual and auditory about a given subject or item?
As an example lets assume you've never owned or driven a ferrari, this could be any other car or make, how can you possibly have an opinion about that at all when you've never actually owned one or driven one?
You can because it's a car that shares common traits with other cars, and you can read the information and tests in magasines and whatnot, perhaps you watch TopGear and they test said car there and you get an impression there and the beginning of something to base your opinion on.
This is an mmo, it has a feature list, it has youtube videos, first hand reviews, some articles, screenshots. Plenty of information and past experiences with other mmo's to formulate an opinion about and start discussing it.
You however are not at all interested in putting forth arguments to dissuade me from my claims or convince me otherwise, you only linked to the official feature lists as well, you will only say that I'm wrong because I've not driven the car, or played the game, as it were. So yes, I dare say this is the first grade. |

I appreciate all of the gameplay mechanics in there that pay homage to how awesome UO used to be, but this game is still a mess.
Yes, yes, I know... beta beta beta.
Still doesn't excuse that it's a mess.
Will keep an eye on the game but won't be playing it for now. ;P

Thanks, just wanted to post this aswell. You also quickly find out when you sign up and read through the beta boards translation section, lots of items and things can still be found with Chinese signs in them.

installed the game, waited for quite some time for patch...turned it on, it loaded and i got the cursor and BAM "YOU HAVE ERROR, GO FUCK YOURSELF HOEBAGS", kinda stupid error message too, didnt even give a hint at whats wrong and im pretty frakin sure my pc is not low on POWA. and considering how it looks, its not the friendliest on the requirements (sayd to be nearly the same requirements as Neverwinter nights 2)
oh and it has an itemshop and it sells stuff like: +50% exp,skill etc. & mounts (mounts are Itemshop only and can not be earned in game???) and ive gone through the forum and some people there complain about in-game stuff being sold for "diamonds" (etc. RealMoney converted into itemshop money).
All in all: i hope its not the kind of itemshop game where you actually have to BUY stuff to be able to enjoy your FREE game

Yes if you want the items in shop you pay with real money.. But they say that you can earn just as good items as bought with the real cash from general ingame items. you just have to work for them... And being asian/german built mmo they prob really do mean work lol..
It reminds me of that futuristic mmo that had the same idea of spending real money to get anywhere over general gameplay.. (I remember some idiot buisnesman buying a space station for like 250.000 usd or something once) nuts...
Anyhow they have to get some income some how, nothing in life is free as they say.
Will sit this out though..

Yeah it's just better to subscribe to a normal MMO with monthly fee, at least that way you get all content at no extra charge. I still like RoM and will continue playing to see how it is when I'm out of noob zones.
