Ok so I plan this vacation with my sister and my wife to Rome and Naples at end of may. First 4 days with my wife in Rome and then she goes home and my sister lands and then 10 days with her.
All good and well.
Except my dearest sister dies. So a couple of months of despair over everything. But then yesterday I finally get my shit together and have a look on the coming vacation and decides I will book a expensive return trip so it matches my wifes (so I don´t go around Naples crying and eating wonderfull pizza at the same time).
That was yesterday. Today I read in the papers that the airline has gone bankrupt and now our vacation and 800 euro is lost.
That was really not needed. Fuck this shitty world...

Condolences, I know how shitty it can be. My grandmother died on the day I was to leave for a vacation, planned months before. Needless to say it wasn't as it was supposed to be.

This is really depressing to read. Peace be upon your sister and keep your hopes up Doh. Something good will definitely happen. Just remember that no matter how bad things get, there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks guys that helped a bit.

There are two kinds of people I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

Condolences..

But yeah, something we all learn along the way is that this world will kick you left to right, and up and down.

Mostly though, it all shows us to appreciate those happier times in our lifes.. Smile

My Condolences ... Sad

My cousin died a year ago and I know how bad it was for his brother and sisters, but they stayed strong as a family!

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I don't know you and so this might seem a bit shallow, however I still offer you my sincere condolences and I hope that you will find some positive things in life to focus on whilst cherishing the memories of the good times with your sister.
I believe it was Shakespeare who said that life is a series of tragedies briefly interrupted by moments of happyness.
