I was going to use the search page, but, you know

I just finished COP with the Misery mod and I want to go back to CS now (I'll do COP when the Alpha mod comes)

Is there something similar? I'm not looking for one of the "complete" mods because I always end up resembling a mechwarrior with all the free guns I find.

Something that makes it more challenging?

Hmmm I remember this Good Old Stalker Mod being one of the big ones (or at least one of the most discussed), but that was a while ago.

It'd be the day if there was an addon that fixed the atrocious stealth/sneak system Very Happy

And I honestly think you should just skip Clear Sky. It does have some fun stuff but it's just not worth it (in my opinion of course). That said, I remember that the clear sky complete mod did improve a lot, but stealth is still not very good (stealth has never been a key component to fix for the complete mods anyway, it's rather been about enhancing the original design choices and fixing bugs/glitches):

I'd like to give it a try but I'm afraid my system isn't up for the task... Sad

Pity, that. STALKER is probably my most favorite FPS game, as far as singleplayer goes anyway. Atmosphere is so overwhelming when you play it in a dark room at night with your headphones set to play multi-channeled sounds.

How is the Misery mod if compared to the Complete one? (except for the insane level difficulty)

Basically, in Misery, you get to pick between three classes ( as you install the addon ), which start out with different perks and a specific loadout, check this:

I haven't got too far yet, still in the first "zone" but I'm enjoying it a lot, it gives you generally a more authentic feel and it seems to have fixed some scripts that were fucked up in the original game ( like the ingame cutscenes that tend to bug up otherwise, such as when you are in some kinda arms deal in the original call of pripyat.)

Try it out, I think you'll enjoy it a lot

Thanks, I'm reading the description and it sounds very good indeed, I'll install it as soon as I finish my playthrough with the Complete Smile

Did you play on master difficulty, Inter? Might be a stupid question but I find it really hard to progress with Misery mod, not complaining btw! It should be this hard really, if I dont plan my approaches carefully I end up dead quite fast Very Happy
