Covered on every self-respecting news website by now.

In short: he lead the team that developed the 9700 (<3), been (GPU) CTO since just before Cypress. No specific reason given other than he's leaving to "pursue other opportunities". He's also one of the most forthcoming people in the industry, if you read various websites you'll notice that a ton of them have gone to dinner with him and/or have had tons of private interviews. Not many people that high up the foodchain or that good at what they do that Smile

Bit of a shame, but with AMD's changes over the past year or so, I'm not surprised. Especially since Demers' partner in crime Carrell Killebrew was kicked out as well a while ago.


On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if we see him pop up at Qualcomm or Imagination (PowerVR) Smile
