Because in the future we'll have powersleep. More time for work and parties.

I'd like to ask why the FUCK does everything have to be touch-screened. Even the fridge door??

That's too... unreal if you ask me.

I mean, the technology will probably be available, but the future won't look like that.

It's too... sterile. And not to mention the massive distraction it would be to have interactive displays on every freaking surface...

The making process will be very expensive, and seeing how things are today, it's not looking good...

... not to mention the fact that those little girls? Sure they'd be going to school with one of those snazzy glass tablets.. but they sure as fuck wouldn't be coming home with them. Not unless this beautiful future has eradicated all crime Very Happy

The thing that concerns me the most about this, "future," is the fact that each of these devices appear to be using their pixels as cameras (this tech already exists but, in its current form, is not a high enough resolution to work in this manner...yet). If this were to happen, what is to stop the government or the company that produces the pixels from eavesdropping on your private life (a.k.a. the great fap). Of course, there are those of us who might relish in the idea of this voyeuristic utopian society. I, on the other hand, like to do private things privately.

On the other hand, if this technology was to be used for good, it would open the door to amazing new tech.

well, definitely not and you could ask the same about glass, plastic could do most of that crap too, honestly though, what's the downside to touch screens everywhere possible?

i don't see one.

touching things is a natural human way to interact with them you know, it's not like you need to know what a mouse or keyboard is to poke at things, granted we've all already been trained to type and point and click though.

My point was more like why should I want to see everything on every domestic surface?
Eating table has millions of cameras for videocalls and also touchscreen ability.

I don't mind touch-based interface, I don't like the fact that everything must be touchable that has no second use yet.
