Paint which board did you use? I went with this one mostly due to good reviews and options included

'Why are you doing all this?' was his intended asking, I think.

basically I wanted to drop 1366 and my i7 920 ... the asrock board can take the Ivy chip and PIC express 3.0 ... and the 2600K is the best chip to overclock ... soooooo, why not indeed?

Got it running last night, still have to finish my cable management and get the overclocking done ... but so far its working and stable ... and damn fast ... I booted in less than 15 seconds ...

Whoa... that's a bit hot for a H80. What's your case like? My i5-25k running at 4.5Ghz idles at between 29-34 using the H80 and the case, a Lexa Blackline, has a 120mm side intake and a 120mm side exhaust creating a solid airflow throughout, though I suppose heat output goes up exponentially - so the extra 300Mhz would certainly make a difference. Eghhh, ignore me - if you're happy then fuck it, right? Very Happy Congrats on the new build!
