My creative inspire p380 speaker cable is fucked from both ends so I replaced it with a generic cable that hasnt got a volume control. Now when I used it on my external soundcard (tc electronic dektop konnekt 6) then I get a hissing sound even when sound is off from everywhere. I get no hiss when plugged straight to motherboard. I even tried different cables. My logic tells me that the signal that goes to my speakers is now on full volume constantly and that causes hiss. W/e the real problem can anyone help me with this? the hiss is fucking annoying
