It's OK, but I'd wish there was a popup telling me that a new software is trying to access the net. This way I have to guess which file is going to try to get online and block it from access Sad


Zonealarm is not an option.

I use comodo personally. Lots of options to play with and it's free

I use Windows 7 Firewall Controll, free version has the functionality that you seek. The app uses Windows Build-in firewall, so there is no overhead.

Although, with free version you would probably end up turning firewall off completely during software installs due to all events with temporary installer helpers apps in temp folder trying to access the net.
