I had 3 Mustek PowerMust 1000 UPS, they all died this morning after a power spike!

They won't turn on, I've already opened 2 of them, can't see any burned capacitors or any damaged component. Sad

Actually my electric service provider supposedly assumes responsibility for any damaged goods.

But it will take so long for it to restitute any settlement, that I will probably buy new ones beforehand.

As a fact they were, had them for almost 5 years, never gave me any problem.

Don't know what happened today.

Wait.. UPS.. aren't they specifically meant for protecting against power spikes and surges as well as providing power during temporary power failure?

If all 3 died they were either buggy or there's some fuse in each one you don't know about.

I'm also inclined to believe this, the problem is that I cannot find any diagram of my model online.
