I keep getting comp freezes whilst playing demanding games on my pc.
I'm sure it's the mem in my pc, i just need a program to test all parts in my pc to finds out what is causing all the probs?
Any ideas on what to try plz?

Ryzen 5 3600 cpu@3.60 Mhz.
hyper x 32 gb ddr 4 memory.
Msi Carbon gaming pro ac motherboard.
Evga 600 psu.
Msi Armour rx 8 gb 5700 Graphic card.
Ps4 Standard 500gb.
Lg 4k 42 inch tv.
Oculus Quest 2.

Using regular HDD? Try defragging it. I think that is the most common cause for freezes, HDD can't keep up with demand. Other possibility is bad driver for GPU.

What do you mean by "freeze" ? Time limited pauses? Bluescreens? Reboots? Do you have any crash dumps?

It's in bf3 now on pc, i can play for say 20 mins then the screen freezes with a long beep type sound then i have to reset and reboot my computer.
Only seems to do this on bf3, never really had much problems with my computer b4 this.
I have a e7300 cpu, 4890 1 gig card, 2 sticks of 2 gig mem.

it probably wont be you, stuff like that is normaly driver related or game and its code to do with the setup you run.

on the other hand if you are overclocking that dual core as most do, then you can prob be pretty sure the game right now is not liking it at all, few new games in past I had to remove some clock for it to stabalize till game was a little more optimized.. But doing so on the dual core there is probably not a choice due to the game being more quad core demanding.

Some beeping lock ups could also be a sound issue with game or drivers again..

But you should start looking at those mentioned after you have done the std mem test etc etc procedures on the rig. At least then you know its not something you have goind duff.

One of the biggest myths in computer problems ever and one I despise with a passion. Defragmenting any hard drive made since I don't know, 2000 or so is completely pointless. Even the low power 4500 RPM laptop drives still have access times under 25ms on a completely fragmented drive and defragging is nothing but a waste of time. I've never seen freezes, BSODs or anything get magically fixed just because the hard drive is fragmented; best it'll do is maybe shave off a couple of seconds on boot time on old computers.

Why do I hate it? Nothing against you iconized, but every computer "expert" in my surroundings and "knowledgeable" friends of my relatives constantly go "OH YOU SHOULD DEFRAG" when a PC gets slow/crashes and when that naturally doesn't work they go around and fuck the computer up even more. Guess who gets to fix their shit? Yep. Fuck defragging and fuck any retard recommending it as a "fix" to computer problems (again, nothing against you, I just really fucking hate this nonsense). Anything defragging can "fix" (which is only file access speed up to a very limited point) is also shit that's caused by the user fucking his system up himself, so at best it's a temporary bandaid.

I have played couple of MMO's that stored all data in 1 big file. And over time this 1 file got bigger and bigger and quite probably heavily fragmented. Defragging the file did wonders, personal experience there.

If a big file is heavily fragmented over a harddisk, it means that the heads of the harddisk constantly have to go in random reading mode instead of sequential reading mode.

With the TB HDD's these days this does not seem a big problem, then again the OP did not tell what system or what games.

It still won't cause full freezes or anything else than slow loading unless the drive is actually physically damaged. Sure, fragmentation will shorten the lifespan of a drive (or more accurately, its arm), but considering my old WD 320GB has not been defragmented once in its lifetime of 5+ years, that's a nonissue.

Mini Kernel Dump does not contain unloaded driver list


The minidump wasn't massively helpful, but it does certainly confirm that the error was hardware related (which is why the dump doesn't show much of anything relating to software in the stack trace). I would suggest (if you know what you are doing!) jumping into the BIOS, disable any/all speedstep and overclocking on the CPURAM as well as many on board features as you can. Remove any non-essential hardware (sound card, GFX card [if you have on board], network cards, etc) and all but one stick of RAM.

Once done, see how the system functions and if the crash still occurs. If not, slowly re-add hardware until it dies again. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.

Thx syn, i always thought there was something wrong with either my motherboard of the ram as ages ago when i tryed putting my 4 gig of mem(2 gig each) in my board, for some reason, at the start it went in to dual core meory mode is it called?.
But then suddenly stopped and only goes into single mode now....
I think one of the 4 mem slots on my board went capput and mayber damaged the mem slots in some way?
Anyway.
I might buy a new cpu, motherboard n mem, don''t want a gfx card as i have a decent one in a 4890 1 gig card.
Any recommendations plz?

You don't need stress testing, you need temperature readouts ...

I think you can check card temp with gpu-z
