Hello there helpful folks,
looking for a tutorial on how to install a bootable debian installation (preferrable with GNOME) onto my usb flash drive. As is typical with linux google and the internet as a whole ain't all that easy to understand/ helpful.
So if anyone has a tutorial or can give me a quick, easy to follow guide that'd be much appreciated.
Btw not running Linux on my laptop atm so everything has to either be done from windows or from a bootable debian dvd.

Since it's a bootable live usb drive how about installing drivers and the likes? Because, iirc, usually they shouldn't persist after a reboot, right? So I'd have to set up the drivers every time? That'd be a hassle :/

Depends. Hardware for a lot of common hardware is built into the kernel these days. The only drivers I've had to install were ATI and Creative; latter could've worked without, but works a bit better with them installed.
