This being the best tv show I've ever watched, and I wonder what fellow humpers think about it.
I remember myself crying most of the times during the 6th season. Especially when Tony in the coma, having delusions and "I get it!" scene have ruined my day back in the times.
Not overrated, clearly one of the best TV shows ever made, perfect casting, every character in the series is interesting to follow. I dont think it had any "filler" episodes either.
I have read several reviews stating that it is the "best tv drama of all time" or that "it reinvented the modern drama on television" or that "it made drama a viable investment option on tv and paved the way for many successful drama series that followed" and similar bullshit praises out of which perhaps only the third one has any semblance of truth.
I don't know anything about reviews, hype or anything. I just watched this show last year, I jumped to it without any thoughts, after 3-4 episodes I started to like it and finished whole series within a month. And that was the time I declared The Sopranos as the best tv show I've ever watched.
After that, there was only two shows that I found the taste that I had with The Sopranos. Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad. But these two can only touch it's feet in terms of everything.
Well if it wasnt for Lost, Sopranos would be no 1 for me; the show was great, i saw all seassons last year in about a month, i was so addicted omg. At first was nothing special and wondered myself, why everyone is saying this is the best blabla, but after some episodes it gets better and better in everything.
Everything was perfect : perfect directors, phenomenal acting from almost everyone (is like all were born for this show), the mob setting was created great, it has it all : good humour, crimes, hookers, drama, suspense, sarcasm and so on. All of these elements were combined perfectly; probably said perfect too many times, but for me it was a perfect show.
About deadwood, i gave up after the second season, because it got way too mixed with too many paths, and plus politics - the major thing in the show- is not really my thing. But the guy that played the owner of that saloon was ABSOLUTE AMAZING, his acting was trully a masterpiece.
And who didnt liked sopranos, should try the wire, it seemed shit to me but i know many that didnt liked sopranos and did the wire

Not sure if serious. It had a lot of fillers. But they weren't that bad, the fillers were still cool to watch.
If you are completely bored you can watch it anyway, like me. Must say that I skipped all of the alternative reality parts and my final judgement: It was shit!
Hehe, I'm not that bored yet . I still have a lot of interesting shows in my to-watch list such as The Wire, Battlestar Galactica (Leo will kill me for this ) and many many others
sopranos got bored after the 3rd season. it was just snitch, snitch, who's a snitch, snitch, son of a snitch, what the snitch, oh look a snitch, shoot the snitch, mafia, italian meats, shrink, snitch, cops, tits, sex scene, rape scene, death scene, loveable character dies...
After season 3 all it was, was teenage drama. I owned the whole series and had a blast with it but between all the teen drama, boring episodes and them not even finishing small cliff hangers in the show, it got annoying as hell. Shit would happen and and it was never mentioned again like it never happened.
I loved the Sopranos, I think it got better as it went on, I think the whole point of it wasnt to try and make it a reality show but to make it entertaining, the cliches were great in my oppinion and made me laugh, which I think was the whole point. Great show.
Lost on the other hand, season 1 was good but it just turned into a pile shit, it always felt like the writters were making it up as they went along and the final couple of seasons they seemed to try and dig themselves out of the bad plot that had put the show into.
I watched Lost because my wife did, I woulndt have gone beyond perhaps season 2 if it wasnt for that fact.
To me putting Lost next to Sapranos is like putting a turd next to an austin martin.
