So atm I have an old e6300 cpu processor that is really starting to show its age. I was thinking between 2 different builds one intel and one amd mainly because of the price difference. Just wondering what you guys think would be better or if you think something completely different might be better. Thanks

AMD Phenom II X4 965 = $140
ASUS M4A89GTD = $130 nvm....maybe a am3+ then i can upgrade to a bulldozer cpu in the future
total of $270

Or i was thinking of a
Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge = $219 or an i3-2100 and upgrade to i5 at a later date
MSI P67A-GD65 =$160, or maybe a cheaper mobo
$380

So yeah theirs too many choices and my current computer is over 4 years old and eventually needs a comlete overhaul but money is an issue like always. Even need a new monitor.

So i'm not really sure, although money is real tight atm so the cost of the amd cpu is really enticing. Obviously i do need some memory which will be another $40 or so.

I currently have a gtx 460 gpu
with a HIPER HPU-4K580-MS 580W psu
that i would be using with a new cpu zalman cooler that i bought recently

amd setup is good enough for gaming, overclock it to 3.8ghz and it will last you for a long while, you can invest the savings later in a better videocard or SSD
