just wondering what people think the best laptop is in the Argos i3 / i5 processor range for around £430 max area is? Because Argos dont refund on laptops Im going to ask if I can pay the extra for a i3 / i5 laptop. Max I want to goto realy is £430 has anyone got a i3 / i5 laptop from argos that can comment on it? Its safe to go with Acer these days, my i5 aspire has been on since I got it, no problems

I believe the law says you are entitled to a refund within 14 days of purchase if you are not happy with a product.

It used to anyway, it may be worth a phone call to consumer direct.

Argos pulls this shit with all their electrical goods but I have got refunds before.

Ive had it for 10months total (but this is the 2nd one thats died in that 10months), Cant be bothered with a 3rd as I know its going to die as well. And they say to you before paying for it that it is Excluded from the 30day Money back guarantee will look into the Acers Thanks George W Bush - '...more and more of our imports are coming from overseas.'

oh and whats better out of an i3 and i5 where the i3 has a faster processor speed than the i5? Would you go for a i5 with slower processor speed over a i3 with faster? Thanks George W Bush - '...more and more of our imports are coming from overseas.'

Ahh didnt realise it was so old.

As to them saying, thats fine, they can say that, they could tell you its sold as seen and has no guarantee at all, it does not make it legal.

They are clever about it anyway, because it is excluded from their 30 day money back, but legally (again if it has not recently changed) it is not exempt from Englands 14 day legal money back
