I'm going on holiday to Ibiza on 19th and was wondering if £1700-£1800 is going to be enough spending money for 2 weeks?
has anyone been before and can give me a heads up? I'm planning on going to some of the big clubs but not every night as I know theyre like €50-70 to get in and then another €20 per drink.
I've been there in 2007 with some friends -even if I hate clubs- just because I found an incredible last-minute offer online (400€/1 week/3 stars hotel): let's say that with your budget you can afford visiting almost every single club there (even though many of them as you said are terribly expensive). The tip is, do not buy drinks in clubs, get a 6 pack from the shop instead and go to parties when you're already well-oiled
There are several "quiet" places too (my favourites), where it is indeed possible to relax, have a good bath and stay away from all the fuss (trust me, in the end it will annoy the hell out of you )
PS. Avoid taxis, public transportation is very efficient (you can also rent a car, they're quite cheap)
thanks ixi. I plan on getting suitably wasted in the west end as I've heard you get a lot of deals on drinks?? I'm also going to need a quiet couple of days, I'm fairly certain I can't handle drinking 14 days straight!
I went a couple of years ago and spent about 700 in a week Inc 3 big clubs .be wormed 2 JD and cokes are 40 euros in the big clubs ...one money.saver in the west end was to go in the lap dancing bars ..10 euros entry got u 3 drinks and a shot u just have to say no to the dancers ...do 3 seperate lap clubs and uve had 9 large jds and 3 sambuca for 30 euros ..hit the clubs then.
I don't get it. I once had an all in in Greece where i got shitfaced everyday in clubs and I really really really tried to burn money through and i got to 1000 euros in 2 weeks or so. after 4-5 days i got so bored i went jetskiing all day or scuba diving all day instead of pool time and even then i got free beers or cocktails with everything i did or buy. But to be honest it was the most boring holiday ever.
Just like going out in the midst of student kick off season in the beginning of academic year at uni but you have to add loads of fat and noisy english people.
Some friends of mine regularly go to Ibiza to club Amnesia to see paul van dyck and armin van buuren... don't ask me why, we saw them together (and marco V and Tiesto also) once in the godforsaken village called 'Oostende' in Belgium for 7 euro back in 2003 or something on a local trance festival. Entrance 40 euros, 1 beer 10 euros but you get huge discounts (4+1, happy hours 10beers+1bottle champagne) regularly.

Be very surprised how quick it goes in Ibiza..A normal night out will set you back 100 eurios before any big clubs are involved. So thats 1400 Euros if you go out every night. Then you have to eat, taxis , club entries, day activities etc etc...Id be tempted to sort and overdraft out too
well, hitmanuk, that was my point. 1700pound is more than 2k euros. So even with your 100 per day you still have 500-600 spare money.
And let's be honest, getting hammered 14 days in a row is quite hard (possible but improbable). I've had days where i blew 100-200 euros on booze. But you just are doing stupid things because you are really drunk then and the next day you will certainly spend almost nothing. Except for water bottles or sodas...
Don't want to come across arsey but 1,400.00 GBP =1,600 EUR @1.18 to the pound so nowhere near 2000k euros. I've been on loads of lads holidays with all the piss up tour companys eg,20's, 18-30's , Escapades in my time and I can promise you all it is is drinking every single night and most days from 7PM until you drop noramlly 6-7AM ish depending on resort. Yes you have a choice when you go away to get hammered every night and I suppose it depends on what kind of holiday you want. But to do Ibiza properly for 2 weeks then 1700 quid will be pushing it unless you plan on staying sober/drug free a few nights.
On another note why on earth would anyone go to Ibiza if they didnt like the clubbing scene Is not like its a secret that thats what its all about

Next day get yourself a bottle of Herbas Ibizenzas at a local store & a bag of ice and sip it all day long, then go for some sushi at Blue Marlin or Buddha Bar.
If you want to get drunk then go to Greece or some other balkan country.

It's rocking out here. Having an awesome time. So many women, so many drugs but some days ive not even been drinking alcohol or taking drugs.
Vast majority of people are massively up for anything but there are some groups of people that are just total dicks. It's mainly the irish and a lot of the fellow English have beef as well, chips on their shoulders.
