Since its getting warm out I have to keep my AC on more often and the AC is directly next to my computer chair and its quite loud. Im looking for some good and cheap headphones for gaming, something thats good at cancelling external sounds. I dont need a microphone just a headphone with nice bass and noise cancelling
Any suggestions?
Oh and I wear glasses while gaming, so they have to be comfortable. I used to own a headset a few years ago which would cause severe pain at the back of my ears after a couple of hours of gaming because the headphones would press down on the glasses
Steelseries Siberia V2 are cheap, and got very nice bass + very clear sounds (pretty much one of the best headsets on market, dont let the price fool you). They are very comfortable aswell, soft leather on the pads.
Sennheiser HD380 Pro... tried these at the local sound shop today and was extremely satisfied with them, compared them to a lot of others but these really impressed me. Good range, very tight bass and extremely comfy. I also love that they cancel out all other noise + are very portable.
Definitely not the Sennheiser HD380, those are too expensive. So after doing some research Ive raised my budget a bit, decided against a headset with mic, and narrowed it down to two:
1. Sennheiser HD 448 (~100$):
2. Audio-Technica ATH-A700 (~100$):
Has anybody tried these in real life?

I visited a couple of sound stores this week to test out some of these headphones. The AKG ones sound really nice as do the Sennheisers (HD448). The AKG ones cost a bit more though. But I ended up going with the Audio Technica (A700) one for the slightly better soundstage compared to the HD448. The price of the HD448 and the A700 were the same on amazon

I've run my HD380 Pro-headphones through a 100 hour warm-in now and the sound is even better still! I've not been this impressed with a set of headphones since I got my first set of Philips 890.
Wow Ive been listening to Jean Michel Jarre since the late 80s and his albums have never sounded this great. Im especially enjoying hearing this album again
The sound on these headphones is so clear, crisp, and rich and the sound stage is fantastic. If anybody is on the fence about these headphones, definitely buy them or at least try them out at a sound store. They are phenomenal
Its funny I purchased these headphones for gaming but Ive been using them mainly for music. Ive lost the urge to even play I just wanna kick back and listen to music all day now. Oh and if you havent heard Jean Michel Jarre, definitely give his music a try as well
Curse you if you say he sucks!
