yeah saw the trailer earlier today. i love action sci fi type films, so naturally im looking forward to this... and its a pretty decent trailer too... but i laughed my fucking ass off at the sunglasses throwing bit (mission impossible 2) and the 2 people going through the window (matrix 2) - shit just cracked me up
The first one was ok, but the rest have been shite, thats not to say I havent watched them, but they have beengetting progressively worse.

especially that one part where they jump out of the window? it looks almost exactly like the scene in matrix reloaded where trinity jumps out when fighting the agent. even the glass looks identical and there's also the slow motion effect fading in as they break through the glass.
still, it's just a trailer, can't really judge the whole movie based on that. I'm sure it'll provide decent entertainment.

if they just made a fully CGI animated movie, (with good acting / CG) that went along the storyline from the games it would be good....why take MORE effort to think of more and more lame ass additions to the story already ruined?
because the games 'story' is just as shit? like i said, the japs tried to make a cg movie that was in-line with the games, and it showed just how fucking shitty the result is when the people who 'like' the franchise and are 'closest' to it, try to make one that 'uses' the story. it was far far worse than any one of these films.
cock seems to think so.. "...that went along with the storyline from the games it would be good"...
backstory, characters, atmosphere, whatever... point is that clearly making a movie that holds the values of the original games to heart, makes for an even shittier result than what hollywood is cooking up.
ill agree that picking up shop and rebooting the franchise would be a good idea.. i dont think anyone can save this milla vehicle, but following the GAMES is a shit idea. use the base concepts to set the scene (research, zombies, etc) but if you keep it close to the games youll end up exactly the same way... with a franchise that is shit... you know... just like the games.
I was bored at work, so I browsed through RE wiki. Having done that I hope to see TALOS in this movie.
Also make it a good one after last complete utter fail.
