Anyone seen this problem before,

taskmanager is showing all the running processes as very small amounts of K, for expample to test I was not seeing things i fired up a game and it said its 308k.

Now I know it dont run at 0.3mb Very Happy

its still selected in columns as memory private working set, which I believe is the norm view for it.

I googled but so far cant see anything for this particular issue.

same problem for all other apps etc running, shows piddly amounts of K.

but overall usage at bottom and cpu use all normal draw.

Start in safe mode, check if problem persists. If not, perform all scans and repairs in safe mode. If so, well son you might be fucked.

"well son you might be fucked"

no idea what that was intending to state, but...... activity is normal. had enough time over the years to know when a machine is "fucked" as you put it I guess, could be many reasons no doubt, but performance not a problem, its just reporting wrong amounts of usage...

goolge is not really helpful cant find anything on it, as the search I need to do tends to fall into so many other task manager issues that some have.

just found out why I had this problem, will post the fix here incase it happens to anyone else Very Happy

The solution only came to light when I was looking at my ham radio software for JT65A digital mode Very Happy, the Time offset was seperated by a , instead of a . e.g

like DT = 0,3

I thought eh that dont look right sure it was 0.3 etc, so I checked the language and additional settings to do with currency and yup the decimal place was set to be a , not .

I hit reset and everything is now back to as it should be ram usage wise in the taskmanager Very Happy

I am not quite sure why you are asking me that question in that manner ....

smart? no, more relieved is the word that it was nothing more sinister somewhere, either residual or developing unseen..

I quite possibly would of checked this area of the os out earlier, IF the actual ram usage of the applications in task manager had been a bit more obvious regarding the placement issue... I was not aware a "," would totaly obliterate the layout as it did..

I mean the the fucking advanced options ASK you what you would like to see in the decimals place instead of a period... Very Happy So you would think that if you said fuck I want to see pink elephants I would see that with split number places either side of its fucking pink fat ass...
