Ubisoft has announced a new free-to-play game that is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the studio behind Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3. The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a dungeon crawler in which players build their own castles (from a pool of available tiles), fill them with monsters, and let other players slaughter them and collect the loot. The kind of enemy units and bosses you can drop into your castle is determined by your level. It’s an interesting concept for a free-to-play game, that might actually work. Ubisoft has also released the first screenshots for this game that can be viewed below. No ETA has been announced as of yet, though its closed beta phase will be begin next month. Enjoy!

*sigh* Why can't we get a reboot of Dungeon Keeper and scrap these online only games?

The title is honest to a fault. Just missing Ubi from there. Ubi's Mighty Quest for Epic Loot (your wallets)

Whats up with Ubisoft lately? They are becoming too "funny", first the awesome Blood Dragon, and now this (looks pretty fun Razz). Seems that they are trying to pay back somehow to gamers Very Happy

Well looks pretty generic too me.
They try to hard to be funny in the video.
And graphics look pretty much like TL2 but with a Facebook-like GUI Surprised

I think the game looks fun as all hell.. but sadly, it's also going to be prohibitively expensive, just like every other "free to play" game out there.

Ubisoft sent me a key yesterday. After playing for a while i must say i'm disappointed. The idea is pretty good that's why i signed for the alpha, but the execution is terrible. I'll wait for more patches (it's still alpha after all) and see if things take a turn for the better, 'cause right now it's a brainless game.

I got to finally play this the other day, and I don't hate it. It needs a bit of work, but it plays like expected. I don't feel like I can make a decent dungeon yet (lvl 9), but I had quite a few people struggle through it. Not sure if its just me or what, but every replay of someone getting close to death in my dungeon is corrupted.

Yeah. Those prices are insane. Good thing those packs don't seem to matter much, at least at my level. I see "high rollers" getting owned in my castle all the time.
