They're used to thin the blood, which is a preventative not only from blood clots giving complications for heart transplants, but also vascular issues in the brain -- specifically for me; acute headaches

Mine's hereditary, my dad and grandma head migraines. All I can do is eat ibuprofen and hope that it'll pass while I try to sleep :\
I've had EEG and doppler of the carotid artery made and all was well...
