I've never had an avocado and thought let's try one. All sorts of healthy nutrients and omega 3 fatty acids... sounds like a good meal for a vegetarian. Well I guess I ate it the wrong way because I'm starting to feel a little sick. I ate one half just like that, seasoned only with a little salt. Felt like chomping on a log of butter, man that was one greasy mofo. Is there anyone with good avocado experiences? Guess I have to make a proper guacamole or avocado salmon salad the next time I try one of those

I eat avocados on a daily basis.
The thing about avocado is that it doesn't need much... Just some salt, pepper and lemon juice. and you can get going with a dark bread.

You eat 1 whole avocado in one go? One half was nearly too much for me. Mine had a very neutral taste. Didn't taste like anything actually. The avocado was pretty soft so I guess it was ripe enough. I guess this fruit grows on you -- I'll have to try some more another time.

Probably, never had a sickness from avocado.
But I do get sick pretty quickly from walnuts, so I never eat them...

oh ofc you should grind the garlic too the salt comes last and just enough to give it a nice taste You don't even need the lemon, it just keeps the avocado green. As a lemon alternative you could just stuck the "seed" back into the prepared cream. This will keep it from getting darkish

Actually I don't know what happens to the fatty stuff. Part of the water you drink will work its way into the bowel, but I've never seen a greasy turd. And I prefer to keep it that way

I think it is a very specific taste. I have a realy fat-tooth. I love them but I don't eat them often because they are so high calorie. They are a good kind of fat tho.

I love Avocado when it's perfect (not over-ripe or under). No need for seasoning. But one is quite enough. I don't like them when they're TOO buttery.

The best kind of fat, which is also found in fish like mackerel. Fish however are now polluted with lead and mercury and perhaps not as healthy as it used to be. Not recommended if you don't want your balls to shrivel up.

Sounds interesting -- all avocado recipes I've seen are savoury.

Put them in a mixer with enough water to make a juice?
