Anyone else had problems with usenet lately? For the last 1-2 months I cant seem to get over 3000kb/sec from usenet.com's server. I tried giganews but got pretty much the same. Really weird since I used to be at 15-20mb/sec from them.
Ideas?

Welll 1600kb/s is less than ive got now...but it's a big difference for me to have ~3000kb/sec when I used to have more 15000kb/sec average...

also one thing thats odd - is that if I start to download my other computers internet seem to get problem...same if they start to download...this one will have connection problems.

Perhaps I need a new router? Any way of checking it?

Any self-respecting firmware on any self-respecting router should give you a CPU load status and available memory balance.

You can also try to look at packet distribution for inexplicable packet growth. Try killing the idle connections and see if that helps momentarily (like an adrenaline shot).

I usually max out on Astraweb (~10MB/s). What is the name of your ISP?
