Outcasts follows a diverse group of people who are living in a small town on a fictional planet that has been colonised by humans. These pioneers are helping build a new community far away from their loved ones and are optimistic about their future, but the planet holds many mysteries which threaten to destroy the fragile peace.
The cast includes Hermione Norris (Spooks), Danny Mays (Ashes To Ashes), Eric Mabius (Ugly Betty), Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica) and Ashley Walters (Small Island).
it starts sometime next month and the first trailer looks good.
I'm looking forward to it. it.s SF. it's british. it must be good.

yep your right, does sound a hell of a lot like earth 2... liked that show, though its probably mostly nostalgia talking there, but i do remember enjoying it at the time.... i guess it was due for recycling from emotionally dead and creativity devoid producers.

Red Dwarf was in another time, in which comedy and silly situations more than made up for low production values. A supposed serious show looks ridiculous if the production values are low.
It starts on Monday, 7th February and the second episode the next day. Apparently the first episode is kinda downbeat and it needs an ep or two to warm up.

Edit: Drama/scifi... They will pull a stargate universe. Fucking morons.
You did notice they say "drama", not "pathetic farce, trying to imitate a far superior show with retarded characters and brain-dead story lines", right?
If you think SGU had a brain-dead storyline i can't think anything else than your judgment is clouded as in the end it got pretty exciting. I will agree however that the show itself has some seriously shitty characters and overly boring episodes, but the show itself and it's goals was interesting to me.
I haven't seen the trailer for this show so i might have spoken out of my ass, but that's because i despise trailers. I find them overly spoiling and often lying. I always wait till i get the product and make up my own mind.
Trailer from OP is down, so I found another one if others like me didn't see the first one.
As other have stated, its Sci-Fi, its British so I will mostly likely also watch the first couple of episodes at least
Yuck! A bunch of people running around showing a lot of "emotion". Hardly saw any sci-fi at all. My expectations just took a nosedive.
Drama sci-fi : recreating real economic problems in ze space like the new BSG with they jump on christian religion etc... crap made it too bore and snore too watch
well the show was created by the guy who did the fixer, and party animals... also wrote some spooks. the concept has huge amounts of potential... but it's not handled properly. i hope it'll get better. It's as if mamet wrote a cartoon series based on an easter bunny robbing homes with a machete.
