dogma, mallrats, and jay and silent bob strike back (not in that order)... thats pretty much it for his films that i enjoy. i didnt mind chasing amy or clerks (first one) as a one-off watch, but i wouldnt say they were really good films... everything else.. meh.
Really? Because from what I'm seeing, he loved the film and has done nothing but promote it since the very start - he even BOUGHT his OWN film. I've seen absolutely nothing that suggests he didn't like his own movie. An interview;

Yes and no. The only things I shook up were for myself. When I stood up at Sundance back in January, essentially what I said was that I didn’t have enough confidence in my movie to put it through the traditional marketing system – that if I spend that kind of money on this movie, it’s not going to make it back. So, because I lack confidence in my flick, I’m going to take it out myself, thus guaranteeing a better chance of people showing up to see it. I know that, at this point, people care more about me than the movies I make.

watched the first 15 / 20 minutes and it felt abysmal. Movie tried to be serious but with his dialogue, I can't take it seriously. And he only did one good movie, j&s SB. That's actually good and well thought out and (as to his potential) perfectly executed.

It's stoner comedy that should've been left written on one of his many cum stained tissues. It's just pathetic. If I have to get high to laugh at some poorly constructed joke then it's failing at entertainment. Cause as it will go, I'm a pot head, i enjoyed a movie about midgets and donkies and poop jokes and wanting-to-be-epic-but-failing-miserably-because-it-sounds-like-a-12-year-old-just-drank-his-first-redbull-and-thought-he-was-brilliant-for-the-first-and-only-10-minutes-of-his-life moments, and then I'm sober and recommend it to a sober friend and we watch it together and then I notice that he/she smirks at some of the jokes and I flip out and explain the jokes to them and then look at myself in the mirror looking like a retard. Like, seriously? Argh...
KS is like QT. Except QT can write. Except QT isn't that great at directing but he's creative. KS is just an asshole who pretends to be humble to get people to love him and jerk off with him in a webcam chat because that's comedy. The only creative thing KS ever did was cockknocker. Everything else is stale and should belong on the shelves next to moderp warderp coderption
And I do like the idea of this one. But as good as an idea as it can be, he just can't write and execute it. And it makes my brain bleed.

I find most his movies entertaining but I find his first 2 Q&A's much more so. I know he's a shitty directer but the shit he writes is quite funny. I honestly don't see why so much hate towards Kevin Smith, he's not the best director out there but he sure aint complete shit either.

It's terrifying. Just like derps worshiping michael moore and his derpify information to make it say what you want it to say and have people believe you. May not be as derp as fox news, but when you lie and call it truth, you're as legit as loose change.
I found cop out to be pure garbage, however a lot of his other flicks, such as Dogma, are very entertaining and funny.
And if you'd see his Birthday special Q&A he actually talks about Bruce Willis and when they did Die Hard 4 together and that they might have had a project together. So Cop Out was probably just something he threw together just to be able to work with Brucie...
