....for pleasure...wtf

Somebody gave me a book about 2 weeks ago (some novel) and she suggested I should read it because its a great book or whatever. I told her yea it looks cool and sure Il give it a read on my free time. Now every time I see her she keeps asking me if I started reading the book and what i thought about it so far

im running out of bullshit about why i havent had time to start reading the book yet

I kind of had this situation. I spent like 2 weeks yelling at a (smart) co worker of mine about how much ender's game was awesome. Finally he snapped and told me, "Fine, if you read "God's Equation" I will read, "Ender's Game".

Was like, " Ok whatever, god is dum"

He finished Enders game , I was still trying to wrap my feeble mind around God's Equation for quite some time lol

Ender's Game: if you haven't read it... lol really?

I actualy kept trying to convince friends to read decent books myself, but them being stigmatised by the whole being forced to read books thing and generaly being dumber than a bag of rocks brought no results.

It's pretty simple, say you don't like the book. For some reason I like non-fiction better than novels. So when people ask me why I don't read their beloved novel I just confess: I think it's boring!

Enders Game is awesome! Just finished reading it a week ago or so.

And I'm usually on the other side of the OP, pushing people to read Razz
Now though I mostly do it with people that do like to read, don't wanna waste my breath recommending awesome books to people who don't wanna listen Smile

Just tell the truth. It's better than making up excuses.
