Yes you see, same argument as mac users isn't.
The mac is more than just the operating system, it's far better hardware than the pc 
Once you've tried a mac you can never use windows again!

when it comes to macs vs pcs... specs mean shit really...
i'm sure that machine can run 4k footage just like it can run a 40gig uncompressed file
but for it t handle 4k + render it'd need to be faster when it runs on windows
im not bashing your results but you can't really look at mac specs and then look for pc hardware and compare prices... and call it exactly the same because the hardware is the same... that's just silly  |

Well its true. I'm running OSX on my transvestite-hackintosh-PC alongside W7.
And I can tell you, OSX runs at least at three times the speed of Windows7, it's amazing, incredible, awesome etc. I dont know how they manage to do it, but OSX somehow transforms the hardware. With every new update, OSX unlocks new processor features, making upgrades to newer hardware unnecessary. Thats also why you cant properly upgrade a mac: You just don't have to! Awesome, Amazing, Incredible!
So if you dont want to upgrade your PC-Hardware next time. Do it like me: Transform your PC into a mac! It's totally worth your time.

shhh it's true. I ran into it recently. A 10,000 mac stuggled on red4k footage, whilst a 15,000 mac didn't. SO SHUT YOUR MOUTH BOY! It's all about the macrams which are more expensive and better than pcrams.
